East Windsor Fire #2 Halloween Party 2011

East Windsor Fire Company #2 Halloween Party of 2011 was a super success as the children in the community and their families welcomed the firefighters return of Halloween to Station 46.  It was largely due to the generous donations and support of the Twin Rivers Community Trust, K&S Farms (Field of Terror), Shoprite, WaWa and BJ's that we were able to once again throw our annual Halloween Party.

The firefighters of Station 46 were determined not to disappoint their community and every one of them spent dozens of hours to make it happen.  Coordinating hot dogs, buns, juice boxes, cookies and candy for 500 visitors takes a ton of teamwork.  Then there were weeks of cleaning up the station so it was children-friendly in the big apparatus bay, decorating, cooking and arranging for a DJ, setting up arts and crafts tables, getting the word out to the community and arranging for crews to handle all of the many jobs that there were that day including registration for fire truck rides and blowing up almost 200 balloons.  The firemen even allowed the kids to be wrap them up as Zombies with toilet paper under the DJ's direction for an extra dose of fun and laughter.  Everyone from our Fire Chief to our firefighter wives and families chipped in to help make it a wonderful day for everyone.
